Dr. Yvonne Bos-Rops, currently working on the staff of the National Archivist of The Netherlands, studied history before her professional training as an archivist at the Rijksarchiefschool in The Hague. Her career has included posts as director of the State Archives in the province Utrecht (1992-1995) and in the province of Noord-Brabant (1995-2001). She has been active in the Royal Netherlands Association of Archivists in different capacities, a.o. as secretary and president. She has been member (1992-1996) and president (1996-2000) of the steering committe of the Section of Professional Archival Associations (ICA/SPA), and member of the Executive Committee of ICA (1996-2000).
