In 1999 he was appointed Head of unit responsible for the modernisation of electronic document management and archiving at the Commission.

Frank Brady's current responsibilities include overseeing the design and implementation of a Commission wide electronic records management system that will cover 25.000 officials, 20 languages and over 60 buildings as well as all aspects of the Commission's archival policy, including contacts with the member States and the DLM-Forum. Until recently he was also responsible for the Commission's Historical Archives.
